I am just getting off a super fun Labor Day weekend, that I got to spend mostly alone with my little jiveturkey. We went to the awesome playground at the state park (twice) and we have the mosqueto bites to prove it. She surprised me by climbing all by herself up the plastic climby thing to get to the twisty stide (8ft up). She knew just what to do...hand over hand and put each foot in a slot, she didn't fall once. Mommy was the one who hurt herself by getting her own foot stuck in one of the slots (not made for big feet). In the afternoons, when it would inevitably rain, we went out in our driveway and splashed in the huge puddle that always forms. She had a blast, right up until she slipped and scraped her foot.
At one point in our weekend of fun, she slipped off her little indoor slide backward (usually not an issue) and landed on the edge of her wooden horsey toybox. OUCH! But she was fine after abut 10 minutes of screaming.. We currently call her "Harrieta Potter".
Then, in honor of Steve Irwin, we got Outback Take Out. Mommy and Daddy had our regular "no rules" burgers. However, I always have issues getting Sophia to eat their things. So I went out on a limb and got her the ribs, figure fun food is good food. She loved everything. She nawed on the ribs and got super messy, she shovled in the galic mash potatoes, and said "ap po" with every bite of the warm, cinnamon apples. I would have loaded a picture of that, however Mommy had forgotten the camera and her camera phone at work that night..
One final note, the picture I did add if from Sophia's most recent photo session at Sears. We love this one. We call it her "John Stewart imatation of his George Bush Imatation"...he he he...
