Last night Sean was home almost on time. He seemed to be in a good mood. I was in a good mood. Then, while I was making dinner, he comes out of the bedroom and says "You didn't get me beer or a lotto ticket last night. Now I have no beer and we didn't win the lotto." Did I mention he passes that corner store everyday he comes home from workThen he went outside to take a swim. Now, this kinda pissed me off, but I was in such a good mood I let it go.
Anyhow...Dinner was served. We were feeling frisky ;) but Sean wanted to go get beer, so he left and I cleaned up. We agreed to do "it" when he got home. So he gets home and we start making out. We are about at 2nd base when he stops and says "I want you to do something to me." So I'm thinking, fine but way to put the brakes on the mood. I start stuff. But then he says "Don't put any effort into it why don't ya." Now, I am really pissed off and so not in the mood for any of this. But, I decide to give him one last change to salvage our "fun" by asking him to say something nice to me after being suck a dick. He then stands up and says "forget it."
Ok, fine... So then we start playing a board game, that he agreed to playing...spending time with me (not warcraft) and what does he do, cop an attitude from almost the start of play. "That is gay, what a stupid question, I'm tired of playing this game I got better things to play." Now I am hurt and pissed off. He pointed out he has a right to say how he feels, but he doesn't have the right to be such a dick about it. He'd probably just say he was kidding, but it wasn't funny, not one bit of it and he ruined our rare night together.
Ironically, the day before I had a meltdown on him about how I miss him and he is never home or does stuff with me. In fact my meltdown came becasue he was never around to talk about stuff that bothers me and it built up. So this is how he acts on a rare night together, nice.
Nights like that make me wonder why I love him?

YouTube: The New "Old" MTV

I was watching a live video of Josh Ritter playing live in Ireland. Who posted it there himself, whe wants people to his stuff. Anyways, I was watching it and was struck by how this is the only place I watch videos anymore. Growing up in the 80's and 90's I lived on MTV videos. I could watch videos virtually all day. I think MTV News and Remote Control and Liquid television were the only non-video things on. The videos could be so great. Sometimes the songs sucked but the video was so cool I watched it anyways. Other times thevideo would enhance an already great song, making it even more meaningful.
For example: Genisis's "Land of Confusion" is, by its self a great song, bu the video lands an even bigger punch to it. This is my favorite all-time video byt the way. The Regan puppets make a major impact to the message of the song.
Other examples are Pearl Jam's "Jeremy," Metallica's "One," and even Warrent's "Uncle Tom's Cabin" were interesting.
Back to YouTube, I was noticing the items I've saved to my account and all but 1 is a music video or live performance. You would think insted of fight sites like YT the music and movie industry should take advantage of it (much like Josh Ritter is). MTV was how musicans advertised their songs, with videos. However now the music television channels show almost no videos. YouTube is the perfect outlet for people to find and hear and watch great new artists. Embace it, don't block it or charge for it or hinder it. The easier it is for people to Check new music or what-not the more impressed they will be.
Ft. Myers

Sophia and I and Aunt Shari returned Saturday after a brief but relaxing time in Ft Myers. Shari's parents gaveus use of their timeshare. It was just what two stressed out teachers needed to unwind. We mainly hung out by the pool or in the pool. We walked the beach and the pier and had wonderful beach food (overpriced but amazingly delicious). Atmophere helps. Sophia ended up getting sick the last night, but I know she was having a blast prior to that. All she wanted to do was swim swim swim.
Something cool that happened was when we got to see wild manatees out the back of the placec in the river. A mother and baby were floating around the timeshare's dock looking for freah water and a back rub. I'd never seen wild manatees before. They were just so peaceful and amazing. I wish people could be more llike manatees.
